Term 2 Week 1

HOLIDAY WORK

Hey guys! I hope you have a super holiday. As you know there was no homework sheet for the holidays- instead you have the opportunity to work on the following things

1. Measurement Revision Work- our measurement post-test will be in the first week or two of term two so use this opportunity to study so that you can get the best mark possible.

You could even have mum, dad or your older siblings come up with some extra practice questions for you too. Remember you all have access to the circle powerpoint too if you want to practice working with circles.

2. Short Story Competition- as I mentioned on Thursday everyone is going to be submitting a story for this... you're all fantastic writers and this is a great cause. We will conduct author circles and do the outside edits etc when we get back to school but take this opportunity to construct a story you are really proud of.

Remember it has to be 600 words or less.

3. Mathletics- there's always work to be done there (and what a great way to earn some extra $$ before our auction next term!)

By The Way... Don't worry I've got LOTS of homework too! I have two big assignments for uni due when we're away at camp so I need to get them finished super early so that I'm free to make your camp the best camp ever! I'll be spending my holidays doing HEAPS of homework!

Term 1 Week 10

Year 5 students you haven't had the second roman numeral lesson so give it a go over the weekend but if it's too tricky then don't worry we'll do some more on Monday

Term 1 Week 9

Here are some of the Parts of a Circle Sheet we've done in class.

If you want extra practice with circles then do one of the power points I shared with you in class (even if you've done it once before it might be a good idea to reinforce your new learning by trying it again)

You can access it through your email or Google Drive under the "Shared With Me" tab

Term 1 Week 8

There are now NSW Computer Practice questions up for you to check out- they start easy but will soon get much harder!

Term 1 Week 7
Get in quick if you want to practice for the NSW exams- The first 7 maths questions will be deleted on Monday.

Here is this weeks homework instructions

Term 1 Week 6

Maths work will be coming home with each student.
See below for what activities they need to do this week.

Remember there are maths practice questions on the NSW page too! Get practicing!

Term 1 Week 5

On your homework instruction sheet I accidentally wrote week 1 instead of week 2 for your reading.

PLEASE CHOOSE AN ACTIVITY FROM WEEK 2!

EXTRA WORK
If you have chosen to do extra work in order to earn more money, these are the codes on your sheets
It must be done by Monday and needs to be glued in your class economy book

Orange = $10
All other sheets are $20
A Pink C = you can use a calculator.

If you have chosen to do the exponents work sheet (e.g. the squared and cubed ones) you may use a calculator for the tricky ones.

Please note that I am being very generous by offering you these for $20 each. It's a one off to give you a kick start at the start of the year
